About the Event

In this workshop: Make your journey through the editing process as painless as possible by learning what to anticipate. With input from long-time writers as well as her own editorial experience, Lynne Pearson provides instruction on how to prepare, what to expect, and where to find an editing professional.

About the Speaker: Lynne Pearson is a freelance fiction editor, a member of the Emerald City Romance Writers, and was the Emerald City Writers’ Conference 2021 conference chair. She belongs to the Editorial Freelancers Association, Editors’ Association of Earth, and the Northwest Editors Guild. She found her calling in 2015 when she realized she wanted to help writers improve their  stories. She earned a Certificate in Editing from the University of Washington and takes classes often. She writes stories of people finding their way, even if it takes a while to get there. She contributed to and was the editor of a non-fiction essay collection, Filling the Void; Voices from the None Zone, published by Market Square Books in 2019. She has woken many a morning with a book hangover.
