About the Event

In this workshop:

Body Language is a nonverbal communication in which physical behaviors, as opposed to words, is used to express information. And we use it every day, whether we realize it or not.

Just look at the number of people who will analyze the Duchesses of Cambridge & Sussex body language, trying to figure out if they’re friendly or not. Or the Oscar performance from Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. People are constantly trying to figure out the subtext of body language—and they’re constantly getting it wrong, which is part of what makes it so fascinating.

In this workshop, we’ll go over the basics of body language and learn how to use this subtext to push your character’s arc forward and help show how they’ve changed by the end of the book.

We’ll also explore how to present yourself as a professional – even when you’re shaking in your boots—which will help when meeting other industry professionals and pitching, or even readers, proving that you have what it takes to make it in this industry.
