About the Event
In this workshop: This single day event provides authors with a day packed full of speakers and topics. The morning starts with workshops on writing craft and the day wraps up with talks on alternative forms of author income.
Registration for the event also includes information on ways authors may attain additional forms of revenue outside of writing (multiple streams of income) and range from merchandising, affiliate income, and more. It covers the gamut from free to buy-in options. This isn’t an exhaustive list, but is a good starting point for authors looking to diversify their writing income.
The sessions will be recorded and available for 30 days after the event for those that have registered.
About the speakers:
Anne Shaw writes historical romance (Regency and Victorian) and contemporary romance. She holds a Bachelor’s in History with a minor in Women’s studies. Her passion for writing has resulted in the publication of over 20+ titles.
Anne loves to write about sexy heroes and bold heroines who face unsurmountable odds to reach the ultimate goal, a happily ever-after. Whether the story takes place in modern times or in a bygone era where the heroines can hold their own, even today, Anne strives to infuse humor, snappy dialogue, and detailed descriptions to draw the reader into her world.
Patricia D. Eddy: Patricia D. Eddy writes romance for the beautifully broken. Fueled by coffee, wine, and Doctor Who episodes on repeat, she brings damaged heroes and heroines together to find their happy ever afters in many different worlds. From military to paranormal to BDSM, her characters are unstoppable forces colliding with such heat, sparks always fly.
Patricia makes her home in Seattle with her husband and very spoiled cats, and when she’s not writing, she loves working on home improvement projects, especially if they involve power tools.
Her award-winning Away From Keyboard series will always be her first love, because that’s where she realized the characters in her head were telling their own stories—and she was just writing them down.
Patricia loves fuzzy blankets, curling up on the couch with her cats (and as many blankets as possible), and interacting with her fans, so drop her a line.
C. Morgan Kennedy: C. Morgan Kennedy is the author of interracial romance, multicultural cozy mysteries, and steampunk novels. A self-described 'Blerd' and Afrofuturist, Morgan puts her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering to good use imagining all manner of gadgets for her stories. She uses her MBA in her day job as a marketing and business development professional. Writing as C. K. Eastland, she co-authors the Crafty Sleuth cozy mystery series with her dear friend Nelle Heran (aka E. J. Russell). Through her workshops, she seeks to demystify marketing fundamentals for the writing and small business communities.
Jami Davenport: USA Today Bestselling Author Jami Davenport writes sexy contemporary and sports romances, including her two new indie endeavors: the Game On in Seattle Series and the Madrona Island Series. Jami’s new releases consistently rank in the top fifty on the sports romance and sports genre lists on Amazon, and she has hit the Amazon top hundred authors list in both contemporary romance and genre fiction multiple times. Jami ranked Number Seven on Kobo’s Top Ten Most Completed Authors, an honor bestowed on the year’s “most engaging” authors based on an average page completion rate by their readers.
Jami lives on a small farm near Puget Sound with her Green Beret-turned-plumber husband, a Newfoundland cross with a tennis ball fetish, a prince disguised as an orange tabby cat, and an opinionated Hanoverian mare.
Jami works in IT for her day job and is a former high school business teacher. She’s a lifetime Seahawks and Mariners fan and is waiting for the day professional hockey comes to Seattle. An avid boater, Jami has spent countless hours in the San Juan Islands, a common setting in her books. In her opinion, it’s the most beautiful place on earth.
Emilia Rose: Emilia Rose is a USA Today bestselling author of steamy romance.
Highly inspired by her study abroad trip to Greece in 2019, Emilia loves to include Greek and Roman mythology in her writing. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in psychology and a minor in creative writing in 2020 and now writes novels as her day-job.
With over 18 million combined story views online and a growing presence on reading apps, she hopes to inspire other young novelists with her story of growth and imagination, so that they go on to write the stories that need to be told.
Russell Nohelty: Russell Nohelty (www.russellnohelty.com) is a USA Today bestselling fantasy author who has written dozens of novels and graphic novels including The Godsverse Chronicles, The Obsidian Spindle Saga, and Ichabod Jones: Monster Hunter. He is the publisher of Wannabe Press, co-host of the Kickstart Your Book Sales podcast, cofounder of the Writer MBA training academy, and cofounder of The Future of Publishing Mastermind. He also co-created the Author Ecosystem archetype system to help authors thrive. You can take the quiz to find your perfect ecosystem at www.authorecosystem.com or find most of his writing on his Substack at authorstack.substack.com. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and dogs.
Dylann Crush: USA Today bestselling author Dylann Crush writes contemporary romance with sizzle, sass, heart and humor. A true romantic, she loves her heroines spunky and her heroes super sexy. When she’s not dreaming up steamy storylines, she can be found sipping a margarita and searching for the best Tex-Mex food in the Upper Midwest.
Dylann co-hosts Romance Happy Hour (https://www.romancehappyhour.com/) with live episodes every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month and is a founding member of the Romance Chicks group where authors and romance readers can connect.
Although she grew up in Texas, she currently lives in a suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul with her unflappable husband, three energetic kids, a clumsy Great Dane, a lovable rescue mutt, and a very chill cat. She loves to connect with readers, other authors and fans of tequila.
