Crossing Genres, One Writer’s Journey:
by Anne Shaw
In Crossing Genres, One Writer’s Journey, Anne Shaw will speak about how she navigates between historical and contemporary romance. She’ll discuss the key differences between the time periods, and how to keep your voice no matter what century you’re writing in.
Anne Shaw:
Anne Shaw writes historical romance (Regency and Victorian) and contemporary romance. She holds a Bachelor’s in History with a minor in Women’s studies. Her passion for writing has resulted in the publication of over 20+ titles.
Anne loves to write about sexy heroes and bold heroines who face unsurmountable odds to reach the ultimate goal, a happily ever-after. Whether the story takes place in modern times or in a bygone era where the heroines can hold their own, even today, Anne strives to infuse humor, snappy dialogue, and detailed descriptions to draw the reader into her world.
Adding Suspense to Your Romance Novel
by Patricia D. Eddy
Ah, romance. Two hearts finding a happy ever after together. Smoldering looks, needful touches, and some lively bedroom antics (even if behind closed doors) are the tools of your craft, and you wield them with expert precision. You know how to raise the stakes in love. Now, drive them even higher with danger, intrigue, and a car chase or two. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to marry your suspense and romance arcs to create a novel your readers won’t be able to put down.
Patricia D. Eddy:
Patricia D. Eddy writes romance for the beautifully broken. Fueled by coffee, wine, and Doctor Who episodes on repeat, she brings damaged heroes and heroines together to find their happy ever afters in many different worlds. From military to paranormal to BDSM, her characters are unstoppable forces colliding with such heat, sparks always fly.
Patricia makes her home in Seattle with her husband and very spoiled cats, and when she’s not writing, she loves working on home improvement projects, especially if they involve power tools.
Her award-winning Away From Keyboard series will always be her first love, because that’s where she realized the characters in her head were telling their own stories—and she was just writing them down.
Patricia loves fuzzy blankets, curling up on the couch with her cats (and as many blankets as possible), and interacting with her fans, so drop her a line.

Series Bibles Made Easy
Increasing Your Productivity with the Efficient Use of Book and Series Bibles
by Jami Davenport
Do you use a three-ring binder to organize your series? Or an unwieldy spreadsheet, multiple document files, or random pieces of paper? Or do you use nothing at all and wade through countless notes and books in an attempt to find one tiny bit of description of a former secondary character who is now the main character of your current WIP? Do you spend too much time searching for information you know exists somewhere? All this wasted time takes away from your writing time.
In this course, we explore how to build a series bible, what items to put in it, and how to increase your efficiency in the areas of researching, plotting, organizing, and accessing book details so you have more time to write the actual book. While Jami uses OneNote to organize all the details, you can apply her concepts to any storage format.
